RESUME
Roque Carbajo begins is musical carer at the tender age of seven.
Accompanying his parents, professionals musicians, on tours in various countries in Europe and the Middle East interpreting Mexican folklore.
At age 21, he settles down in Paris and composes works for the guitar, music for films and songs which were recorded by
French interpreters.
In 1979, he arrives in Canada with "Viento del sur" ensemble.
After a few canadian music tours, he attends the University
du Québec à Montreal (UQAM) and the Concordia University to improve his musical knowledge.
Today, Roque Carbajo still composes. He teaches at the UQAM music Preparatory school and also at the Conservatoire de Musique de la Montérégie and Collège Durocher St-Lambert.
He is also recepient of bursaries from the Canadian council for the arts and the “Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec”.
